Good programs, some admin issues

I enrolled in the Master of Business Administration program. The curriculum was solid and the lecturers were knowledgeable, providing good insights. However, getting clear information on the installment plan options was a bit of a hassle initially. It took a few calls to student services to get everything sorted, which was a bit inconvenient.

Overall positive for my diploma

I completed a Foundation Diploma here and it prepared me well for my degree progression. The campus facilities were decent, and the student support team helped me understand the next steps for my diploma to degree progression discount. The only minor gripe was that sometimes the response time for emails could be a little slow, especially during peak application periods. But once they got back to you, the information was always clear and useful. I'd still recommend it for sure.

Easy application, helpful staff

I applied for the Bachelor of Arts program with University College Dublin. The online application was straightforward. I had a question about the entry requirements and someone from their admissions team called me back pretty quick. It made the whole process feel less stressful, which was nice.

do they have corporate discounts? my company is a big MNC, wondering if that helps.

M Matt Rodriguez 3 days ago
Yeah, they actually do. Kaplan partners with a lot of companies for corporate rates or grants. You should ask your HR or check with Kaplan directly if your company is on their list.

I think they have something called a corporate partner grant. My colleague got one for his MBA. It's not an automatic thing though, your company needs to be an official partner.

Anyone know if I can use SkillsFuture credits for Kaplan courses? Or is it only for specific ones?

M Matt B. 4 weeks ago
You can for some! I used mine for a short professional course there. For full degrees, I think it's more limited or might only cover certain modules. Check their SkillsFuture page.

I'm pretty sure you can for many of their professional development courses. For degrees, I'm not entirely sure, but worth asking their enrollment advisors.

How long does it take to complete a part-time degree at Kaplan? Like for a Bachelor's, roughly?

S Susan Smith 6 days ago
Most part-time Bachelor's programs are usually around 2 years, maybe 3 depending on the university and course load. It's generally faster if you have a relevant diploma already.

My friend did a part-time degree there, I think it was 2 years and 8 months for her. It really depends on the specific course and how many modules you take per term.

What's the refund policy like if I enroll and then decide to withdraw? Is it a hassle to get money back?

R Robert 1 week ago
They have a refund policy, but it depends on when you withdraw. If it's early enough, you get most back. After a certain point, it's usually prorated or nothing. Read the fine print.

I haven't personally done it, but I know a guy who withdrew within the first few weeks and got a decent portion back. It's usually outlined in the student contract.

Does Kaplan offer installment plans for tuition? Paying everything upfront would be tough.

I Ian Lee 2 weeks ago
Yep, they definitely have installment options. Most people pay that way, so it's pretty standard.

They do. I spread my payments out over the whole course duration, it was super helpful. Just ask about it during your application.
